Once upon a time, there was a wee place located at 871 Broadway Ave. across from Firestone in Bowling Green, KY. It was purchased by the famous Al Baker and became a successful bakery 'n bagel shop called Bread & Bagel (clever, eh?). They baked wonderful breads, pastries, and as the name suggested, BAGELS! Mr. Baker relocated up the road and sold the wee building on Broadway to new owners excited about making breads 'n pastries 'n such. From there 'n everafter, the wee spot grew to become the best little local café in the kingdom.

In 2009, coffee roasters Molly Kerby and Benita Bartley bought Bread & Bagel and changed the name to Greener Groundz, the name of the coffee roasting company they founded in 2008. The restaurant specialized in fair-trade organic coffee, local food, and vegetarian/vegan cuisine. But as the business grew, the IRISH flare began to surface…

Fast forward a wee bit to January 2012, when co-owners Molly Kerby and Shannon Rich transformed the little cozy hippie place into a full-scale Irish Pub. Molly, a second generation Irish lass, and Shannon, of Irish decent from the bark on the same side of the tree, have created the first wee Irish Pub in the city – Molly Shannon’s Irish Pub!

The restaurant not only focuses on fine traditional Irish Fare but serves up organic and locally-produced American fare as well. The coffee served at the Pub is 100% fair-trade and organic, micro-roasted by Greener Groundz Roasting Company in Bowling Green, KY. The beer selections at the Pub grow everyday, offering the finest Irish beer that can be bought in the States as well as other world beer and, of course, the made-in-America staples! They bar also serves a unique house wine, Canyon Road, and a fine organic, Naked Grape.

Join us Tuesday-Saturday for a fine dining experience, local music ‘n art, and whatever else we can think of to entertain the masses.

“Here's to you and yours

And to mine and ours.

And if mine and ours

Ever come across to you and yours,

I hope you and yours will do

As much for mine and ours

As mine and ours have done

For you and yours!”
