Simba's Southern Pecan

Simba’s Southern Pecan is a medium roast bean grown in Guatemala. Whether you pronounce it “pi-kahn” or “pee-kan,” you’ll find that this coffee is “SIMBA-ly” delicious!

simba
This bean is grown in one of the fair-trade, Guatemalan cooperatives on the border of Mexico. Most of the local inhabitants are descendents from various Mayan tribes, each of which has a distinct language and culture. Their isolation from the Guatemalan population and the crisis in international coffee prices has made the indigenous inhabitants among the poorest in Central America. Thanks to the work of people advocating for fair trade coffees, more than 50% of the sales of these cooperative coffees are now being returned to the farmer.
